OUR Commitment
SATO Canada recognizes and respects that Indigenous Peoples have traditional knowledge, values, beliefs, and connections to the land. We acknowledge our call to Reconciliation in Canada and our opportunity to participate in Call to Action #92 from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.
SATO’s commitment to Truth and Reconciliation is demonstrated through the following four pillars:

Leadership
We are focused on Indigenous inclusion and activities which achieve sustained positive results.
Employment
We are committed to training and supporting Indigenous Peoples in securing meaningful employment.
Business Development
We support the development of business relationships with Indigenous communities and Indigenous-owned businesses.
Community Relationships
We care about Indigenous Peoples, communities and groups and are committed to building sustainable relationships.
Through the development of our relationships with Indigenous communities and Indigenous owned businesses, along with the support of the Indian Resource Council, SATO is recruiting, training, and supporting the path to employment for Indigenous Peoples. Just South of Millet in Treaty 6 Territory is the community of Maskwacis, home to the Ermineskin Cree Nation, SamsonCree Nation, Louis Bull Tribe and Montana First Nation. By fostering relationships, SATO has had a positive impact having successfully trained and employed members of this local community.
